When God Talks Do You Listen?

When God talks to you, do you listen? I can honestly say that I didn't. He spoke to my husband to take his family of 9 to California & start a church. God told me to go, but I ignored His call. Just like those busy days we mothers have with the family & ignore the phone. "I'll just let it go to voice mail & call them back later." I kept making excuses as to why it wouldn't be a good idea. Like I knew better than God. My husband wanted me to want to go. I didn't want to want to go. I was happy in NY. But, God didn't want us in NY. He wanted us in California. I'll be sharing stories & blessings, oh so many blessings, from our recent journey. I hope you come back & join me in praising God for all He's done. God has been so very good!

We Need God.

Since moving to California back in the end of October, I have been 'homesick' so much. I'm not used to the way of life here in the bay area. It really has been a learning experience. I miss all things about back home. I realize I must choose to be content. It doesn't just happen. I need to decide to be content. God has blessed us so much since we have been here. We have been able to visit many churches in the area & be blessed by them. I know that the Lord wants us here but I also know that it is not home. I need to make it home. That is where I struggle. I was encouraged to read Psalms each day by a Godly lady. I began to read it & my heart was encouraged by the words. Some days it feels like a hug from God. Just what this lonely heart needs. I miss my family, my friends, my NY! God has sent me hope & hugs through his word. I have many days wh...

Starting Again...

Well, the adventure is a slow one. I want to blog. I want to share. I want to drink coffee. LOL Seriously though...I am not the best at writing/blogging. It is not a strength of mine. God can change that. Unless he wants me to do something else. Ya see, I read other ladies blogs. I learn from them and then dream of being so wise and full of knowledge. LOL My goal is once a week to post. That is a good start. I can write when the children are in bed. But what to write about? I haven't clue!!!!! Please guide me Lord,to do what is right here in cyber land!!!!!
